Interview With Billie Faiers

Billie

Your daughter Nelly is nearly two, how are you finding being a mum for the first time?

Oh it’s wonderful, my life has changed completely but I love being a mum.

You managed to keep your sense of style throughout your pregnancy and always look fantastic. What advice would you give to other mums when it comes to dressing their bump?

Well personally, I liked to wear things that showed off my bump that I felt comfortable in. I would say that block colours are much more flattering than fussy patterns and textures.

And what about now? Any tips on how to looks stylish when you are running around after a toddler and being a working mum?

My biggest tip would be to find a nice pair of staple jeans that are comfortable. Also, I would suggest investing in a pair of black leather look leggings that you can wear to dress up a jumper or a pair of trainers and they’re comfortable to run about in, whilst being bang on trend.

Do you have any favourite brands you like to dress your daughter in?

JAM Kidswear of course!

What were the 3 most essential baby items you couldn’t live without?

The three essential baby items I couldn’t live without would have to be my milk dispenser pot, My Babiie strollers as they’re comfortable for Nelly and easy to use and finally my changing bag, as it helps keep me organised.

Tell us about your range of strollers and travel systems you designed for My Babiie

Well there’s something for everyone in the collection, they’re stylish, colourful and easy to collapse and pop in the car. They’re different from anything already on the market.

What made you want to get involved in this project?

I really liked the fact I could be heavily involved with the design process, My Babiie are also a really well established company and it was great that they understood I wanted to create something vibrant and unique.

Which is your favourite stroller from the collection? And why?

The white and grey chevron stroller is my favourite. I love the Missoni inspired print, as they are one of my favourite designer brands. It gives the stroller that high-end expensive look but at an affordable price.

Your sister has just had her first child, has she got her eye on a particular stroller?

I am sure she will. She likes the navy and cream one which is just perfect for a little boy.

How do you balance working and being a mum?

It’s not always easy. Nelly is always my main priority. I’m lucky that my mum helps out a lot, and I schedule my work commitments around Nelly’s routine.

Are you working on anything exciting at the moment that you can tell us about?

I am currently in the process of designing my next range for my In The Style collection, as well as working on expanding the My Babiie range with new products for all my fellow mummies.
