Just a two hour flight from the UK, Ibiza is a stunningly beautiful island perfect for a family holiday. With breathtaking coastlines, long sandy beaches, crystal blue waters, endless activities for the whole family and some of the best restaurants in the med you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to how to spend your days.

We absolutely fell in love with Ibiza and there are so many things for families to do. The island boast numerous beautiful beaches where children can play and swim safely and many of them offer watersports such as banana-boats, pedalos, diving, windsurfing and parasailing. If that’s not enough water-based fun, the island also has a number of waterparks such as the Aguamar in Playa d’en Bossa which are full of chutes and rides and are always a big hit with families looking for an alternative to a day at the beach. Rounding off the island’s aquatic activities is the Cap Blanc Aquarium near San Antonio. Cap Blanc is a unique aquarium in that the main attraction is actually a giant natural underground cavern where children can observe the creatures of the med in their natural habitat. Here they can find rays, octopus, brightly coloured fish and even recuperating sea turtles.
Ibiza is well known for its hippy community and the island is home to many hippy markets where colourful home-made clothes, arts and crafts can be found. The markets are full of interesting trinkets, eye-catching designs and bright colours and many have live music and street performers all which are sure to keep kids (and adults alike) mesmerised. The biggest Markets are the Punta Arabí Hippy Market on Wednesday in Es Caná and the Las Dalias Hippy Market on Saturday in San Carlos.
You can fly to Ibiza from all UK airports for as little as £60 return.
